A Stock Analyst is a type of financial analyst who tries to forecast the performance of the stock market or individual stocks. Equity Analysts make their own market research and then carries out Stock Technical Analysis with a wide array of technical tools. Finally they issue a buy, sell or hold rating that projects the likelihood of how the underlying stock will perform in the future. They also provide you with a price target for one or more time ranges, and you are often supplied with a complete risk appraisal.
